Our Chinese Preschool opened in 2020 at the Solaris building in the Fusionopolis area, a short walk from the one-north MRT station.
This centre offers a unique Chinese immersion programme for preschoolers aged 18 months to 6 years, focusing more on Mandarin, especially in the early years, while ensuring the students are ready and well-equipped to excel in Primary School.
Parents with young children can look forward to enrolling their children in a quality preschool. Mulberry Learning’s award-winning preschool offering will provide the new generation of working parents at Fusionopolis and one-north a high-quality early childhood education for infants aged 2 to 17 months and preschoolers aged 18 months to 6 years old.
Learning Spaces at Mulberry Learning @ Fusionopolis
Beautifully designed spaces are hallmarks of the Mulberry Learning centre environment. We believe that our children learn best in thoughtfully-curated surroundings. That is why we spare no effort in creating a physical canvas that stimulates their senses, unleashes their innate creativity, and encourages their natural desire to explore. Here is a glimpse of the learning spaces at our Fusionopolis centre.
Mulberry Learning’s Chinese Preschool Programme
Our Chinese preschool integrates the Mandarin language into the children’s daily routine, making learning a delight. This enables the children to gain better exposure to the language as they learn, play, listen, sing, dance and interact with the teachers and their peers in Mandarin.
The children also gain a deeper understanding of the language whilst nurturing a love for it as they engage in a myriad of fun activities to learn about the amazing arts, literature, philosophy and festivals of one of the oldest cultures in the world.
As the Chinese preschool programme is also integrated with Mulberry Learning’s award-winning iDevelop / iExplore / iExperience / iLearn curriculum model, parents can rest assured that signature programmes like Reggio-inspired Project InquiryTM, Habits of MindTM and Literacy FunTM are still included as part of the holistic learning that nurtures the Future Ready Child.
Highlights of our Chinese Preschool Programme
A Sound Foundation in Chinese Literacy
With a structured and progressive pathway designed to build competency in Chinese, our Chinese preschool programme enables the child to develop an expressive vocabulary of more than 4,200 Chinese words while familiarizing and reciting more than 30 Chinese poems and over 80 idioms by the age of six. Their reading, listening, speaking and writing skills are also honed through a myriad of fun lessons and activities.
Habits of Mind™ and Reggio-Inspired Project Inquiry™
Our dedicated educators will engage Children from N1 to K2 in self-directed learning through the Reggio-inspired Project Inquiry. Learning takes place in an inquiring environment, with Chinese being the medium of communication and instruction as they develop communication, problem-solving, questioning, thinking and social skills while cultivating positive attributes.
Moral Education through Di Zi Gui (弟子规)
Besides learning how to listen, read, speak and write proficiently in Chinese, moral values are imparted to the children through the teachings of Di Zi Gui (弟子规). Based on the ancient teaching of the Chinese philosopher Confucius, it emphasizes the essential requisites for being a good person and guidelines for living in harmony with others.
Current Affairs
An informed child has the power of knowledge.
Our teachers will engage the children in regular discussions on current affairs and world events in Chinese, enabling them to gain the confidence to converse in Chinese as they ask and answer questions while sharing their thoughts with their peers.
Enrichment Programmes
Mulberry Learning’s enrichment programmes are S.T.E.A.M. based and aimed at building your child’s current affairs and critical thinking skills. Designed on the theory of Multiple Intelligences and delivered in Chinese, your child acquires their language, literacy, numeracy and science knowledge in a fun and interactive way.

International Friendship Programme
This programme is developed to connect Mulberrians to children in partner schools in Beijing and Shenzhen via video-conferencing technology every month. The children from both countries learn to collaborate and share their findings with one another as they conduct project work. Not only does this encourage the use of Chinese for communication, but it also enables the children to embark on a cultural exchange while fostering new friendships. Besides project work, Mulberry Learning also actively conducts student exchange programmes for parents and children, aiming to create a platform for visitors to meet and interact with the Mulberrians locally.
Mulberry Learning’s Habits of Mind™ Framework
Habits of Mind™ is about knowing how to behave intelligently and respond effectively to uncertainty or dilemmas. It provides children of all ages a framework for autonomous learning, critical thinking and effective inquiry. These habits are introduced to the child by infusing them into the curriculum and delivered through daily lessons and activities.
Mulberry Learning is the first and only preschool in Singapore to be certified by The Institute for Habits of Mind.
Being the only preschool in Singapore to infuse the Habits of Mind™ framework into its curriculum, Mulberry Learning is also the first to provide an assessment platform called “The Habits of Mind Assessment Tool (THOMAS)” to measure and analyze the development of these habits in the child. With THOMAS, educators and parents will have access to a report that provides greater insight into the child’s growth of these intelligent habits.
Mulberry Learning – Habits of Mind™: Creating, Imagining & Innovating
As one of the 12 specially curated Habits of Mind™ infused into Mulberry Learning’s curriculum, Applying Past Knowledge to New Situations means developing a more profound understanding by applying thinking from one situation to another.
This habit guides the child on the importance of building on and applying past knowledge to learn more productively and effectively. The more the child learns, the more past knowledge they would possess that can be applied to situations that call for it.
The Habits of Mind™ framework is incorporated into the Ministry of Education’s Gifted Education Programme.
Why Mulberry Learning?
Mulberry Learning has a genuinely unique preschool curriculum incorporating the Reggio Emilia methodology and Habits of Mind™. It includes signature programmes like Literacy Fun™ and Chinese Master™ that will nurture your child into a competent explorer, an imaginative thinker and a creative problem solver.
